OK, welcome everybody. This is episode two of the denim heads podcasts. I'm your co-host daryus
00:20
And I'm your other co-host Pasha.
00:22
How are you push up?
00:23
So far so good. So far, so good. Still on lockdown, but hanging in there keeping my sanity about you.
00:32
Also, still on lockdown. Still, you know keeping some sort of sanity, although I'm still jealous 'cause you have snow and we don't.
00:42
That's true, we've had. We had a snow storm this past. Thursday, earlier or late in the week.
00:49
Yeah.
00:50
We actually got, I think around 12 or 13 inches, but about two or three hours North of us in Binghamton, NY. They had 43 inches
01:02
That's
01:02
which.
01:03
nice.
01:04
43 inches is approximately. Times 400 or so centimeters of I have to do metric system for the Swiss European audience of podcasts.
01:20
Yeah, no, but that's that's way more than we have anyway. However,
01:24
Yeah.
01:25
you put it at, this is just way more than we have. It's just raining now here so it's pathetic. Yeah.
01:33
That's something,
01:34
Yeah.
01:34
no. It's it's OK. It's a little cold, but. I'm sure it'll be super warm by the middle of. By the middle of the week
01:44
Yeah.
01:44
by Christmas we're thinking maybe it'll be a white Christmas.
01:48
For you guys, probably I'm starting to lose hope, but we'll see. Yeah.
01:56
Let's circle back to the purpose of this podcast. It's denim heads what?
02:02
Yes.
02:03
What denim heading have you been doing this week?
02:06
I have been doing a lot of denim handed heading. That's a good term. I've seen. I've seen a lot of stuff since I've gone back to Instagram a couple weeks ago. A couple months ago. I will say I'll admit it.
02:24
I have recently I mean not recently it's been now a couple weeks that I've been looking at full count. So without going too far, full count is one of the Osaka five. It's considered one of the founding brands of what is today Japanese Japanese denim. We'll go further on those brands, but I have seen a one of these jackets. They call it a coverall. And I have been going back to that page. And it's a bit of a challenge 'cause this jacket is only available on the Japanese online shop of full count. So mind you, almost nothing is translated, and but I've seen this.
03:17
Thank you Google Translate.
03:19
Yeah exactly
03:19
Sometimes
03:20
yeah.
03:20
they order. Do it for ya.
03:22
And. I have seen this jacket, the fabric it's it's only a 10 ounce denim. It's a farmer's jacket so it's way different from the type of jacket that we have. For example, this beautiful. Only secret denim Type 3 jacket that we both have, I think.
03:45
Using.
03:45
Which is a little bit shorter, but those farmers jackets there a little bit boxier a little bit longer.
03:55
But the fabric at some point I'll have to post pictures somewhere 'cause it's a little bit nippy. Kinda looks like a snow denim type ish fabric. And the cut is beautiful and yeah, it was a bit of a. I had a bit of a moment 'cause I had. I didn't really know about full count, it was just for me. One of those denim brands that I had yet to read about and everything. But this jacket really made me. Yeah, I've been going back to that page alot. It's kind of expensive. I think I told you about it a million times already. But recently I saw that Fullcount had a big sales, so they were doing sales and stuff. But the problem is again we go back to size charts. The size chart there was kind of. It was there, but you know there was there was just pictures of the jacket but no pics of this jacket being worn by somebody, so that's a big problem when you're about to order something from Japan and you're about to pay shipping and everything you're like. OK, if I could see it. So you know, being naive as I am usually I went on Instagram and found the account of Mr. Let me let me bring his name, 'cause he deserves to be named here. I found the
05:22
I'll jump in and
05:24
yes.
05:24
say I wouldn't call you naive. I would call you extremely resourceful.
05:30
That's another
05:30
Very.
05:30
way to put it. Yeah,
05:32
Or
05:32
true.
05:32
even stalkerish cyber stalking
05:35
Yes,
05:35
can be
05:36
I
05:36
another
05:36
admit.
05:36
term that we can use here.
05:38
Some denim stocking type stuff. But OK, I found the account of Mr Tushita who is the president of full count. And I was like, OK, let me write to this guy and see see if he's going to answer
05:52
Yeah, why not?
05:53
yeah.
05:53
Uh, huh.
05:54
And I wrote a little message and said hello, this is I'm a denim person. Denim had from Switzerland and I'm looking at this jacket. The Indigo NEP farmers short coverall. And I have a hard time working the measurements between English, Japanese, you know all the little notes that are on this website so by any chance do you have pictures of somebody male wearing size 38 40? And you know, I said OK, I am this height this way and. A couple hours later I got an insert and he was like, yeah, thank you for a message. Let me check and I'll get back later and he sent the pictures. He got one of the staff of his shop I guess one of his staff to wear the jacket and he sent me a pic of size 40. Ann,
06:44
Well, that's awesome.
06:44
that's awesome, right? I was like. I don't know, but I'm not sure there are a lot of industries in which you can find the president of a company. Send him a message asking for details and stuff for pictures and a couple hours later you get it an. I mean I am not a VIP, I'm not even yet a full count customer, so I'm not even a VIP or whatever, so. And I got the info and I thought I was really nice. I was surprised and it's helpful. It helped me looking at different sizes and stuff so.
07:23
Shout out to full count
07:24
Charter
07:24
in
07:25
to full
07:25
the conference.
07:25
count and Mr Tushita sushi to sun as they say.
07:30
Yeah, that's I mean I would say and it's not really a rare occurrence though. I mean, you tend to reach out to people.
07:37
I do.
07:38
Just in general people, you reach out to people in the denim industry, and oddly enough, they're very approachable.
07:44
Yes.
07:46
Very welcoming. I mean I have in terms of customer service reached out to a number of stores and I usually would they respond pretty quickly and very. Thoughtful answers and they really are extremely helpful because they it's kind of like they want to share their their passion and they are happy too.
08:09
Yes.
08:09
So I think
08:11
And.
08:12
coddle with another company that you had a good experience with
08:15
Exactly,
08:15
and.
08:17
I'm going to
08:17
Couple
08:17
keep that
08:17
stores.
08:17
story for for next steps, but in general I want to say it's nice when, like us, you're new to something and it's welcoming when you seek information you seek contact with these people and you get it. So I think it's it's nice. It's something you know.
08:37
I think it's nice in 2020 as well that you're not like reaching out to a bot. You feel like
08:42
Oh
08:42
there is a person
08:42
yeah.
08:43
that's connected. You're connected to another person on the other side, and. Truly,
08:46
Exactly.
08:48
on the other side of the world. For him, it must be pretty cool that. You know he has somebody from Switzerland reaching out to him, and he's able to assist and is interested in his brand. Pretty cool stuff.
09:03
Yeah, I love it.
09:06
Something else I have discovered a very cool YouTube channel. It is called ACRD, so that's CEAREDEECRD.
09:23
It's a company I'm going to. I'm going to just bring
09:28
And just
09:29
out
09:29
so
09:29
this.
09:29
the listeners know he's been holding out on this information, so he's
09:33
Yes.
09:33
purposely.
09:35
It's new.
09:35
Not telling me anything
09:37
Portia
09:37
leading up
09:37
doesn't
09:37
to today's
09:38
know about
09:38
podcast
09:38
it exactly.
09:39
and he wants me to be generally surprised, which I may be.
09:44
Yeah, you will be. Maybe I don't know adjusting it's interesting again. I I guess we're just sharing stuff as we find out about them. You know, as we discover them so CRD, it's a guy name. Matt Wilson. He's uploading really cool videos about denim raw denim. It's all under a global name. It's called rope die, but he's
10:09
Uh huh.
10:10
he's running the YouTube channel. He's doing reviews and such and such he has. There's a video where he shows his own collection of denim and denim jackets. He's got a super nice collection.
10:28
An other videos with interesting information and such, and now he's he's on sort of a quest to get a little bit more fit. OK, and
10:38
In
10:38
I
10:38
shape.
10:39
guess more in
10:40
OK.
10:40
shape and he's uploaded already 2 videos about that and. I thought you know what could use. Kudos to him 'cause God knows we could all use some fitness motivation right now. In those troubled times, and
10:54
Of course.
10:55
I think it's it's nice to see guy that's into denim and he's like, this is my all time favorite. But guess what? I can't wear them anymore and I'm going to use this as motivation and you know, to get a little bit more in shape. And on top of that, he's review. He's reviewing jeans jackets he's talking about. Sustainability in the dynamic history and other stuff. And the videos are very well made, so I just thought you know when I when I discovered this I thought yeah, let me let me just talk about it on the podcast 'cause and I have many more stuff to talk about here, but that's coming for future episodes.
11:40
Cool.
11:41
Yeah.
11:42
So this week, you know, I've I've sort of been on. A couple shops, websites and stuff and then you start to notice that when there are drops. The global, uh, certain shops all around the world in Spain and Switzerland and. The West coast of the States East Coast. They all start to drop denim around the same time, the same cuts and everything. So so this week there was a few drops with only denim like a stretch.
12:15
Yes.
12:15
Damn. Looks good, I think it was like 15 ounces. There was like a charcoal and then there was a regular Gray over die.
12:27
I haven't obviously seen them in person, but those look very interesting. I have a pair of stretch. It feels a little sacrilegious sometimes. I think to wear. Stretch if you lot about it's like wearing.
12:41
Jeggings almost shout out
12:43
Or
12:43
to
12:44
yeah,
12:44
word
12:44
or.
12:45
I haven't used in probably 10 years, but Jean leggings
12:48
Yes,
12:48
jeggings.
12:49
or like driving an all electric Porsche maybe I don't know.
12:52
But I can't. Yeah there we go.
12:56
Subtle jab there at at someone,
12:59
Just
12:59
but.
13:00
say.
13:02
Basically. Yeah, so I picked up these pair of pure blue Japan black stretch denims. They were really comfortable
13:14
Yep.
13:14
they are. They quickly moved up to the top, let's say 2.
13:21
Of my favorite pairs of denim to where they're just super comfortable, I think it was maybe about. Two or three weeks ago I was driving for about where I was stuck in the car for about 3 or 4 hours and I knew that. So I purposely wore these those denims to see if how comfortable they will be and they were.
13:38
Yeah,
13:39
They were super
13:39
are
13:40
super
13:40
the
13:40
comfortable.
13:41
already fading is is this going to fade the same way that normal raw denim does?
13:47
It does as I understand it. It should have like that more sulfur or the die is is like a sulfur die.
13:54
OK.
13:54
If I'm not mistaken and she kind of come off as like that grayish color. Uh, we older denims are supposed to fade very uniquely as well. I mean it's a very different pair of denim
14:09
OK.
14:10
sports specially formulated and such.
14:14
But yeah, I came across those. You know a pair that's been was dropped in the past month or two is like from one of my favorite brands studio Dartis. Another
14:26
Yes.
14:27
actually original, the original founding member of Osaka 5
14:32
Yes.
14:32
founded
14:35
They they really do some. Interesting stuff,
14:38
You
14:38
very
14:38
love
14:39
whimsical.
14:39
that brand.
14:40
I totally love that brand. I love the logo of the two pigs. I love the intricate details. I mean they have like a thing that's called the FX
14:52
Like Fox Fiber, there's like a coyote pair
14:55
Fox
14:55
and a Roadrunner
14:56
fiber
14:56
pair.
14:56
yes, OK?
14:58
There, what did I say?
14:59
Yeah, Fox fiber. That's right. I was just remembering 'cause I saw one in the flesh couple weeks ago when I was visiting that very famous shop that we talk about all the time.
15:09
Yeah.
15:10
In Switzerland, but it's true that I just saw the Patch. I remembered the Patch on the back of the jeans. And.
15:18
Yeah it was. It was definitely those that I came in. It was like the Fox Rs or S or something like that.
15:26
Yes.
15:27
And then really pretty colors and everything. And then they had this other. Pair that I really like the GSW 9th there Godzilla.
15:38
Or does the Godzilla ones?
15:40
Yeah,
15:41
So what's
15:41
those looked.
15:42
your? What can you just? I mean what's what's special about those is? Is there something like? I mean the name OK, but it is.
15:52
So I think one of I did some minor very minor research about Godzilla. Of course people you know of an older generation know about Godzilla. It's been around since like the 50s.
16:04
Yes.
16:04
There was a show so apparently. Godzilla is of course very important to Japanese folklore and culture and everything but. This particular pair, I think it might be because in the next year or two, I don't think there's a collaboration perceived with the studio movie studio, because there should be a new one coming out like Godzilla versus King Kong.
16:29
OK.
16:29
There was like a new trilogy. I think there was the. What was the original about like Skull Island or Congo Island
16:36
Yeah,
16:36
or something like that? And
16:37
Skull
16:37
then there was.
16:37
island.
16:40
That was the first part of the trilogy, and then the second part was Godzilla. More most recently, probably about two years ago and then so now they're setting it up for a Godzilla versus King Kong movie. But anyway, like Godzilla, pair is pretty cool, got green left in 'em and it has like a very small embroidery of Godzilla
17:03
I've seen
17:03
on the
17:03
it.
17:03
coin.
17:04
Yes
17:04
Pick it
17:04
and
17:04
on
17:05
sorry.
17:05
the coin pocket.
17:05
Yeah, sorry to cut you off, but the Green
17:08
Yeah.
17:08
Wave means when it fades it's going to fade from whatever color they are into. Some shades of green.
17:16
Correct, like an under? Yeah exactly. If I'm not mistaken it has a green left to it. I could be completely
17:23
No,
17:24
actually
17:24
I think I read
17:24
I am
17:25
that
17:25
wrong.
17:25
somewhere.
17:26
No, you know what I think there was a different pair
17:28
OK.
17:28
of denim as I'm looking at it right now.
17:32
Or maybe green salvage or something like this?
17:35
Yeah, slightly, but the cool part is like the little minor details. The Patch, the back Patch as special. Leather Patch of featuring Godzilla. There's to me. I kind of enjoyed the idea that there's a.
17:51
The herring bone yoke, it says, printed with Godzilla towering over the Osaka skyline. So it's kind
17:56
OK.
17:57
of cool. You look inside the parent again, studio does these sort of very very subtle intricate details and so having you know, Godzilla going over the Osaka skyline and I think it's called the Osaka Palace or something like that. So a sock apparently was in all of the movies featured. Twice Godzilla's been there twice, sort of destroying it. But I believe it was the 2nd movie. Overall, I'm not mistaken. After attacking Japan Japan, I mean sorry Tokyo Tokyo has been featured in about 13 of their
18:35
Of
18:35
of
18:35
course.
18:36
Godzilla movies, and that's where the first one. He comes off the shore. Aunt, I'm sure from God, from off of Tokyo and such.
18:46
Yeah.
18:47
New York shout Out New York. It's three appearances and Godzilla franchise,
18:51
OK.
18:52
but anyway, those those. There's some really cool pairs of denim,
18:58
Nice.
18:59
and they had this newer one with the red weft hinode. I think it is.
19:06
Reference number is D1820S.
19:11
Another sort of blue pair with red left and really cool
19:16
Are
19:16
stuff.
19:16
you planning on? Getting
19:18
So
19:18
one
19:18
I'm
19:18
of
19:19
not
19:19
those.
19:19
going to pick him up, no, and I'll tell you why, because they were a little bit too loose for me.
19:23
Oh, it's a relaxed cut or something like this.
19:27
Very, you know when the leg opening is like 7 inches. I was like OK this is going to be
19:32
Yeah.
19:33
some marky Mark type.
19:36
Yeah, it's tough
19:37
Jeans, little
19:37
for
19:37
bit.
19:37
us to wear something that wide I guess.
19:40
I think it's just I probably would have at one point in time, but. Given that I'm wearing slimmer cuts to go to a more relaxed cut like that, that big of a jump, I feel like it's just way too much. It's too loose for me.
19:55
Yeah, but I mean I've seen. Stuff from from from that brand that I really liked and you have that blue shirt.
20:06
Or
20:07
And
20:08
that
20:08
that that.
20:08
Patrick that's among my favorite shirts.
20:11
Yes.
20:11
That one is actually there's another one that's like an olive green rodeo boy. That's
20:17
Oh
20:17
a
20:17
yeah,
20:17
cool shirt
20:17
with
20:18
to.
20:18
the whole thing on the back, right?
20:20
It's yeah I bought it. I've ordered online and never actually saw it in person before purchasing it and I was a little worried that the embroidery or it's going to be sort of ironed on in the back. But no, that thing is so down there.
20:35
OK.
20:35
Really good quality stuff. That's why I was like whatever this company puts out. It's good.
20:41
Yes.
20:43
It's really good. Yeah, the but that blue shirt is nice one too.
20:48
The
20:49
Really nice
20:49
blue
20:49
buttons
20:49
shirt.
20:50
too. The buttons are really very nicely detailed and everything.
20:56
I saw it recently. I mean, recently I saw it when when I was visiting that shop that I will talk about that shop at some point. And it was just sitting there and I thought, OK, I was there for something else, which I will also talk about soon, but.
21:12
Can't tease us like this, but give us something.
21:14
Yeah, OK, OK, I was there to try on some momotaros.
21:20
Ah,
21:20
We
21:20
OK.
21:21
all know how that went. But
21:24
No, I know,
21:25
you,
21:26
you know.
21:26
yeah,
21:27
But
21:27
we know.
21:27
the we in this
21:28
Yeah.
21:28
I don't think they know. I mean I don't know if you want to. Will crack open that box Pandora's
21:35
Not
21:35
box but.
21:36
yet, I'll just say it was a very interesting experience for me. It was the first time I was able to try and sell momotaros.
21:44
I need lifelong dream.
21:45
A lifelong dream. Definitely, you know. Acquire some battle stripes.
21:52
To put where? On your behind.
21:54
Exactly on your *** cheeks. That's so there's there's no other way to say it. That's just, you know, but.
22:03
On your rectum. Kick it like they give David Beckham different brand
22:07
Different
22:07
then OK.
22:07
bread.
22:10
No, it was. It was really nice experience to be able to try and see some materials in the flesh. I will I will crack open that box at another time 'cause I have. It's it can be half an episode this whole thing so I need to reflect on it and then. You know, gather
22:32
With a traumatic
22:32
of
22:33
that traumatic
22:33
no
22:34
my
22:34
no,
22:34
friend.
22:34
no, not that traumatic, but I think it's it's interesting enough to be a subject on its own, basically.
22:41
OK
22:41
Yeah,
22:42
alright.
22:42
yeah, 'cause I'm still on my quest for the perfect moment Oroso.
22:47
So spoiler alert there you actually didn't
22:49
Yeah,
22:49
purchase
22:50
exactly,
22:50
the
22:50
I
22:50
momotaros
22:50
did purchase. I did
22:51
know
22:52
purchase.
22:52
you did it technically you did yes.
22:54
That's that's the issue. Maybe with.
22:56
Yeah.
22:56
But anyway, that was a very nice shop. I will also, I don't want to just give you know Charlotte names like this. I want to take the time to talk about that shop in another episode and present stuff. In a better way, you know do things correctly
23:12
Yes,
23:12
so.
23:12
because this experience may not be over just
23:14
Although
23:14
yet with
23:15
it's
23:15
that
23:15
not
23:15
shop.
23:15
over, definitely not no, no no. Especially, you know being in Switzerland when you find a shop that carries these brands, you want to make sure that you you keep in touch and you build a relation with these people and they were super super nice and super accommodating, What is
23:38
Accommodating
23:38
the accommodating
23:38
here.
23:39
yes?
23:40
Future of what about 2 1/2 hours or three hours to get to that shot?
23:44
2 1/2 hours.
23:45
That's you know to spend 5 hours of your day for a pair of denim that's devotion.
23:52
That's yes, devotion, but that's what we do when you become a denim head. I guess that's what you do. Some people fly to Japan to go on that Osaka Denim tour. So. You know, if I could I would do it right now too, but we can't, so I'm
24:09
No,
24:10
I'm driving
24:10
but that
24:10
2
24:11
is
24:11
1/2
24:11
that
24:11
hours.
24:11
is on the list,
24:12
Oh
24:12
yes?
24:12
definitely.
24:14
Definitely want to go and
24:16
Yes.
24:16
take a picture and I think it's okiomah. There's like a pair of denim that's like sitting on a clothesline or something like that on
24:24
OK.
24:24
the street. It's like a little alleyway where there's a bunch of these famous brands. I did a video YouTube tour of that area I think, and I remember seeing that there's like a pair of denim. To signify that this is like this famous alley.
24:40
Yes.
24:42
And there's like a pair of denim, like sitting on a lamppost or something like that. Anyway.
24:47
Yeah, it's funny, that's something also, it's funny to discover this whole thing and you know, listen to these podcasts and watch these videos about all these guys that have been there. These you know whether it is Japan or all these Denham hangs in New York and anywhere in the States in Europe and we kind of just started in this hobby and this is covid
25:16
And it
25:16
error
25:16
sucks
25:17
and it
25:17
exactly.
25:17
sucks 'cause we're just like. That's going to be. I would travel easily, travel somewhere anywhere in Europe. Now to attend a denim Hank. I would
25:27
And
25:28
do it,
25:28
I
25:28
you know, just.
25:29
do you think it's because of everything because you're not able to do it, that you really want to do it even more or you think it's just that the passion would
25:37
I
25:38
have
25:38
think
25:38
been there?
25:38
it would just be out of no, it's not because I can't do it. It's just the passion and curiosity. And you know, bonding with other people who have the same interest and
25:47
Sure.
25:47
it's new to me. So that's why I'm really excited about this because. There is a field in which I've been working my whole life and I wouldn't. I'm not sure I would travel, you know, on the other side of the planet to attend the meeting about this. But the denim hobby is new and it's exciting, and it's cool. And it's like, you know, it's it's. It's a very how can I say this? The word bro comes in every time you know it's it's mostly guys that we can't do much about this, but it's. It's very. It's camaraderie, you know, it's
26:26
Sure,
26:26
so.
26:26
sure.
26:26
That's the thing that's interesting for me. And it doesn't look competitive. It's very welcoming, so I enjoy that. That's how I feel about it. Maybe people will say I'm wrong, but for now, that's how I feel about it.
26:41
Yeah, I don't know. I think you 'cause you're alluding to the watch industry, which is
26:45
Yes.
26:45
a family.
26:49
You know an industry that the family is very involved in and. Yeah, there isn't. It's not as sort of trying to one up each other
26:59
Yeah.
26:59
as much, and there's another word I was looking for that escaped me, but you know, it's not. It's not a. It's yeah, it's welcoming and it's like again, it's like fade comparing fade patterns and I don't know it's a different. You're right, it's
27:17
It's
27:17
very different.
27:17
different and OK. You want to get the nicest pair of jeans out there. You're maybe going to spend 300 $100.
27:30
The.
27:31
If we compare it with watches, if you want to get the nicest watch out there now, it depends for you what's the nicest watch, but we're talking at least a couple thousands. At least if not way more. And then people are going to look at you and say, oh, you have this. So are you, are you collector? Are you showing off? What are you? You know that it's very
27:58
You
27:58
judgy.
27:59
already boxed it, OK?
28:00
Yeah. I mean showing to. I mean what what I imagine. Showing up to a denim hang you're going to wear. Of course. Your favorite pair and you know, go there. Somebody is going to serve you a nice beer or a coffee, or, you know, just just going to be there and talk with people and meet people. It feels different. It's
28:23
It's casual,
28:23
it's very
28:24
it's
28:24
casual.
28:24
it's something about Denham. Because it's it's
28:27
Yeah,
28:27
Denham.
28:27
it's
28:27
It's
28:27
it's
28:27
casual.
28:28
casual, yeah.
28:29
It's casual wear.
28:32
That's the beauty
28:33
Yeah,
28:33
of
28:34
it's
28:34
of it.
28:34
those two things are. It's two extremes I want to say you know so, but it feels good when you come from one side and you're starting to scratch the surface on the other side, it's very exciting. That's what I'm saying, basically.
28:52
We're doing this via video. What denim are you wearing right now?
28:55
I'm very ashamed. I'm wearing it. Jumpsuit like something super hyper comfortable.
29:02
Sure.
29:04
Yeah, I you know. I won't lie, but I've taken pics of my denim so they're just right here and
29:13
OK.
29:13
I've taken some very nice pictures today. Just laying them on the floor. I have a wood floor on in this room so I've taken some very instagrammable pictures.
29:24
Very good.
29:25
Yeah,
29:26
Very
29:26
So
29:26
good.
29:27
what are you wearing?
29:28
I am wearing so we're doing this at approximately. Started this around 11 in the morning on Sunday before Christmas, Christmas, of December. And I was very late, so I literally woke up and. Grabbed the first pair of denim that I knew I'm going to be. Lounging in the whole day three by ones three by one.
29:53
Three
29:54
I think
29:54
by ones.
29:54
an M2 or M3.
29:55
OK.
29:56
I have to say. Three by ones, it's the pair I now wear around the house
30:02
That's cool.
30:02
and they are super comfortable.
30:04
Those are on the top of the mountain that I saw once at your house that you showed me a picture. There was like a.
30:12
Oh
30:12
A
30:12
yeah.
30:13
mountain of Denham
30:14
Yes, that's that this is the. New York,
30:18
a pile.
30:18
So what would be a New York yeah? I have a Mount Fuji which is the all my Japanese
30:25
Yeah,
30:25
denim.
30:26
there's
30:26
But
30:26
no denim
30:26
here
30:27
is on
30:27
in New
30:27
top
30:27
York.
30:27
of it, I guess.
30:29
There's no denim is on top. It's in a variety of ways. It's metaphorical,
30:34
Yeah.
30:34
of course, but it's also the most commonly where. My favorite pair, so it's going to be the one on top probably
30:43
Perfect.
30:43
anyway.
30:44
You
30:44
And
30:44
have
30:45
then
30:45
to
30:45
we
30:45
at
30:45
lose.
30:45
some point you have to. Take better care of 'em and organize a little bit 'cause you do have a dressing room kind also so.
30:55
I do,
30:55
No excuse
30:55
but I will
30:56
there.
30:56
tell you to cross reference. From another one of our interests and YouTube videos talking watch is. With
31:06
Yes.
31:07
one of the best episodes, I believe the first ever episode Talking Watch is with a Mr John Mayer
31:13
Yes.
31:13
which I have. I have a story with John Mayer that one day I may share, but
31:19
Wow.
31:20
he talks about his I believe Tiffany.
31:27
Aquanaut and I'll leave it to you to give me the reference number, but he just is wearing a Patek. And he loves the idea of picking up his dogs **** with the Patrick, and I do just as well.
31:42
OK.
31:42
It just speaks to me having you know people are very stuffy about certain things. So I like the idea that I walk my dog in a pair of, let's say PJS and everything.
31:54
OK.
31:55
I I like abusing things. I had a. A at one time, and that's what. Mr Deutsch was referencing too,
32:04
Yes.
32:05
and I used to have my Saint Bernard in the. In the car with me at all times. And that was a sight to be seen. You know
32:13
Oh
32:13
this
32:13
yes.
32:14
pound dog and in a.
32:16
In the 9/11.
32:18
In a 200,000 dollar 911.
32:20
True.
32:21
That was
32:22
True.
32:22
fun. But that sounds pretentious. I think it's just to say that.
32:28
Noob.
32:28
I enjoy certain things.
32:29
Good.
32:31
And you
32:32
And
32:32
know.
32:32
I mean the jeans. That's what they're made for, is just daily use.
32:36
Exactly.
32:36
So I was just alluding to the fact that instead of the pile, you could just organize them. It's not a matter of saving them or just you know whatever is just a matter of.
32:49
Or they look good now though, I
32:50
Oh,
32:50
mean I have
32:50
OK.
32:50
my cleaning lady was here earlier.
32:52
OK.
32:52
She was here yesterday and she she stacks them nicely
32:56
OK.
32:56
and she knows not to wash them because
32:58
Yes.
32:58
there's a special way of washing them. And I haven't dared to do so just yet.
33:04
Yes.
33:06
But
33:07
OK.
33:07
yeah, I don't know, it's it's it's OK.
33:08
OK good good. Um, something else.
33:17
Am I missing something? I don't think so. They were OK.
33:22
I think we're OK for this for this episode. This second episode.
33:26
What are we looking forward to? Looking to the future.
33:30
Looking to the future. There are a few drops that I'm curious about. You talked very briefly about those, only with stretch.
33:40
Yeah, I think that's the last only drop of the year
33:43
Yeah
33:43
if I'm not
33:43
I,
33:44
mistaken.
33:44
I'm looking forward to seeing some pictures of those being worn on certain websites.
33:53
Crazy eyes.
33:55
Crazy eyes yes, exactly crazy eyes. Now we can name it. I mean, red cast red gas heritage. Dot
34:02
Yes.
34:02
com they make they have they have a good online shop with a lot of information, very useful.
34:08
It's scary looking models.
34:09
Yes, some scary looking models, but you know. Who are we to say things like that but?
34:17
I guess I guess it's a pandemic. I mean you know it's it's rough out there.
34:20
It is.
34:22
And you never know who has covid.
34:27
And how many times they have they added,
34:29
Yeah,
34:29
so
34:30
that's exactly.
34:30
yeah. This yeah, looking forward to more stuff you know and looking forward to discover new people in this in this hobby. Talk with them. Looking forward to sharing this content that we're creating and let's
34:49
Yeah,
34:49
see what
34:49
if you
34:50
the.
34:50
hear anything that you like, questions, comments, once again there's always shoot us an email though. Denim heads@gmail.com,
34:59
Yes.
34:59
we're always looking forward to. Getting some fan Mail I guess, and then feedback. Especially
35:06
Exactly and
35:07
certainly
35:07
you can
35:08
things
35:08
find
35:08
will discuss.
35:08
us on Instagram. At obviously blue, so that's obviously_blue.
35:16
It's got nothing to do with the name of the podcast, but that might change soon. We'll see for now, that's how it is.
35:23
Sure, sure.
35:24
And what are
35:26
What's
35:26
you looking
35:26
our follower
35:27
forward?
35:27
Clock right now?
35:28
Sorry.
35:29
What's your follower? Count as a grown since
35:31
Not,
35:31
our last
35:31
not
35:31
episode.
35:32
much. Not much since the last episode I'm not. I'm reaching 80.
35:37
Are you OK?
35:39
Not bad, I guess.
35:40
Of course,
35:41
It's
35:41
yeah.
35:41
it's growing very organically, you know so. It's slow, but it's fun.
35:49
Yeah, we're not. It's all about quality, not quantity.
35:52
Exactly. Exactly so.
35:56
What am I looking forward to?
35:57
Yeah.
36:00
I think for me. Yeah, what am I looking forward to? At this point, it's a moment I'm just surprises. Whatever is out there. I
36:10
Yeah.
36:10
think this time of the year it was about this time last year that the Snowdens came out. It's also the. But I'll start, I picked up a pair of. Hold down the secret Adams came out.
36:24
Or the secret Denham yes.
36:26
I picked up a pair last year at this time.
36:31
It's a little bit out there, but I'm very curious to see what outerwear is going to come out from our favorite denim brands.
36:39
OK.
36:40
It is the winter and I'm kind of curious to see if they release anything. The work farmer shirt that you talked about
36:47
Yes.
36:47
that looked interesting.
36:48
Yes.
36:51
PBJ had has like a similar type jacket with some very subtle stripes that I've seen.
36:58
OK.
36:58
Red stripes those look good. We have, let's see what
37:02
Let's
37:02
I'm
37:03
see
37:03
just
37:03
what
37:03
curious to
37:03
happens.
37:03
see what creativity you know and this. These eight nine months would have these Denham houses.
37:10
Yes.
37:11
Don't
37:12
Then
37:12
want
37:12
a
37:12
where
37:12
Masters.
37:12
they. Yeah, sort of curious to
37:15
Exactly,
37:15
see.
37:16
I mean, it's in times like this. I've discovered cuddle. You know? Small super small super niche Japanese brand.
37:26
Another great customer service.
37:28
Another great customer service. Have exchanged a few emails with them. You know, asking about cuts and sizes and stuff, and it was a very interesting process. So yeah, looking forward to a bunch of stuff that we don't know about yet, basically.
37:44
Yeah, possibilities are endless,
37:46
Yes,
37:47
right?
37:48
OK Pasha, thank you very much.
37:50
Thank you and thanks to everyone for listening and will. Until the next time guitar riff out
37:59
Guitar
37:59
I guess.
37:59
without thank you everybody. See you soon. Stay safe out there.
38:03
Take care.
